Murray State men’s basketball looks to keep cashing in victories at the Bank when they put their five-game win streak on the line against two teams from the bottom half of the OVC.
Sophomore guard Ja Morant has brought all of his tools to the table for the Racers, posting big numbers in road victories over Austin Peay and Eastern Kentucky last week.
Morant averaged 28.5 points, 10.5 assists and seven rebounds in victories over the Governors 73-71 and the Colonels in a 102-70 blowout.
Redshirt freshman guard Tevin Brown has heated up along with the Racers win streak, adding 14 points in each win and shooting 6-for-15 from three-point distance.
Murray State will look to keep the streak alive as they face UT Martin and Southeast Missouri State at the CFSB Center for each team’s final conference matchup of the season.
The Skyhawks offense has been rejuvenated with the addition of transfer junior guard Craig Randall II. Randall was granted a transfer from Duquesne University mid-season and was deemed eligible to play for the Skyhawks on Jan. 31 in a road loss to Tennessee State.
The Racers will be tasked with slowing down a UT Martin team that has put together a four-game win streak, including a huge win over second place Jacksonville State.
Following the matchup with the Skyhawks on Thursday evening, Murray State will host the Redhawks of Southeast Missouri State on Saturday night.
SEMO has struggled in conference play this season going 4-10 record in the OVC, despite picking up a nice win over Eastern Illinois last Saturday.
The Redhawks sport the second-worst scoring offense in the OVC, something the Racers would like to exploit in their meeting.
You can catch the Racers in person at the CFSB Center at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, and again at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23. If you can’t make it to the game, you can stream Murray State live on ESPN+ or listen live on Froggy 103.7.
