With just a week remaining in the semester at Murray State University, graduation is quickly approaching for many seniors.
Graduating from college is an exciting moment for many people including students who are first-time generation college students, transfer students, or international students. Students look back on countless memories.
One of those students is Jacqueline Stephenson, a senior from St. Louis.
“Murray State is home and I am extremely grateful to have made all of the connections and friendships during my time here at the best university in the entire world,” Stephenson said.
Students have spent endless hours stressing, and complaining about assignments, classes, professors, having adult responsibilities and being away from our family and friends. But realizing that every obstacle that were faced prepared students for this very special moment.
The biggest life lessons aren’t learned inside the classroom. The lessons are learned through mentors and other people surrounding and motivating you throughout your college experience.
“This semester has really flown by and I honestly can’t believe that my time here is coming to an end,” Alex Karcher, a senior from Louisville, Kentucky, said. “I am so grateful for all of the opportunities that Murray State has afforded to me.”
College life is filled with opportunities for learning and for fun.
“It is crazy how fast time flies when you are having fun,” Tameia Brown, a senior from Radcliff, Kentucky. “I really cannot believe that I have finally made it to graduating this semester.”
Brown, Karcher and Stephenson will be among the students graduating on Dec. 14. The university will host one ceremony for December graduates.
Graduates are asked to arrive at the CFSB Center, Lower Level Gate A at 9 a.m. to pick up their graduation/photo card. The ceremony will begin promptly at 10 a.m.
