If you walk in the front doors of the Curris Center’s first floor this week, expect to see a long line of hungry college students.
“We expected a big turnout,” said grand opening consultant Michael Calloway. “I would say you exceeded expectations.”
During the restaurant’s second day, business was booming straight through the lunch hour. From noon to 1 p.m., the lines nearly stretched past the establishment’s entryway.
“I think things have been excellent,” Calloway said. “The food quality is great, guests are excited. Long lines, but everybody’s been extremely patient with us.”

And guests are most certainly excited, with student Jordyn Traylor co-opting the company’s motto in her praise, “It is my pleasure to eat at Chick-fil-A!”
Referencing recent discourse about fast-food chicken sandwiches, student Megan Lenzini said Chick-fil-A’s reigns supreme in her opinion.
“My favorite sandwich is the Chick-fil-A sandwich,” she said. “It’s my favorite thing.”
